Plant Engineer - Harwell, Oxfordshire
Our client an international Science and Innovation provider, currently have a vacancy for a Plant Engineer at their research centre based in Oxfordshire.
In this role you will manage a small team and will be responsible for the efficient running of all the plant installed on their site. You will also be responsible for new work from conception, design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and maintenance. The site includes large evaporative and air blast cooler systems, water treatment plant, de-mineralised and de-oxygenated water production systems, chilled water systems, air conditioning units and steam and compressed air systems. Running 24 hours - 365 days a year. You are expected to have a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and ideally ONC/HNC level qualifications in a relevant discipline or to have achieved an equivalent level of knowledge through practical experience. You should be self-motivated and be able to act on your own initiative and interact well with others. An excellent index linked pension scheme and generous leave allowance are also offered.
